A round-the-clock instant chat facility has been added to the communication channels offered by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to facilitate enquiries and complaints submitted by the public.
The instant chat facility has been made available on the MoI's website (https://www.moi.gov.ae), the ministry's smart app as well as through the Fawri scheme of the General Department of Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs.
The ministry said the move is to meet the needs of the ministry's customers and help them obtain the information that they seek with ease.
From January 1 till September 20 this year, the MoI handled 92,113 instant chats with the public, with an average response time of 31 seconds per each chat request and a 90 per cent general satisfaction rate, according to Brigadier Hussein Ahmed Al Harthi, director-general of the communication and electronic service department at the MoI.
The ministry, he added, received 1,827 instant chats during the Eid Al Adha holiday during the period from September 9 to 17, with a response time of one minute and 12 seconds for each chat request.
