Dubai residents can now report crime by downloading the nifty Dubai Police app.
The smart phone application has been completely overhauled and now includes a "Police Eye' section, allowing residents to give police anonymous tips on any suspicious activity or wrong practices.
According to media reports, the Dubai Police is urging residents to step up and use their updated app - including the 'Police Eye' section.
There are 9 instances for using the "Police Eye" feature: Disturbance, Alcohol/Drugs, Suspicious Vehicle, Suspicious Sale, Gambling, Vandalism, Prostitution, Begging and a none of the these option.
The app also has a new drive mode- that comes in handy to keep you updated on road accidents while driving.
The other features include a police station mode- to view the locations and the queue times of the police station in Dubai, a map mode-an interactive and informative map that shows the locations of police stations, hospitals and pharmacies and there's also a media center to keep you updated on the latest news.
In keeping  with Dubai's aims to be the most disabled-friendly, it also has features to help the visually impaired.
The app is now available in six different languages- Arabic, English, Chinese, French, German and Russian.
