Sharjah - Sharjah Ruler aims to create an atmosphere of faith for the residents of the Emirate.
A new mosque has been opened in Sharjah. The place of worship in Al Atain area can accommodate 515 worshippers, including 65 women. It is located along Al Dhaid Road.

The Shafa’a Mosque fuses Islamic architectural style with modern touches. It has five domes and a 21-metre minaret.

The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah said the new mosque is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The Sharjah Ruler aims to create and "nurture an atmosphere of faith for the residents of the Emirate", the authority added.
