Although UAE residents are no strangers to flyers, brochures and cards promoting illegal massage centres, an increase in such incidents in the recent months has greatly inconvenienced the citizens.

Several Dubai citizens have been increasingly complaining about the growing nuisance, and shady operators can always be found placing these cards on car windshields and windowpanes in places like Al Barsha, Deira, Bur Dubai and International City, to name a few.

Motorists who park their vehicles often find business cards and leaflets, offering massage services, on their car windshields, which in some cases contains offensive images.

A motorist in Deira told Khaleej Times that he finds these cards on his car every time he parks in the area.

Police crackdown in the past has been effective to curtail the menace to some extent but recent incidents have shown that these 'enterprising' agents and shady dealers are back in business.
