Skype is one of the easiest ways for UAE expats to get in touch with relatives back home. The app allows you to talk to your families through voice and video calls.
However, Skype has recently announced that it will be retiring the service in certain versions of Windows, particularly versions 7.17-7.30. Skype sent out this alert to users informing them of the move:

If you are a Windows Skype user on the versions mentioned, well, you've got until tomorrow to update your app. Or else.
The news comes after Skype introduced a complete overhaul of the popular app, which promises an intimate way to communicate and share your life with your loved ones. It also very recently introduced Skype Interviews, allowing users to conduct technical interviews and test candidates in seven programming languages with a real-time code editor.
