One person was killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident involving two heavy trucks and a car on the Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in Dubai.

According to a top official with the Dubai Police, a 51-year-old Asian man, who was driving the car was killed in the accident and the truck drivers sustained moderate injuries.

Major Ali Abdulla Al Nagabi, the duty officer at the rescue and search section of the Dubai Police, said that the accident occurred on Tuesday morning in the direction towards Sharjah.

He said that the rescue team rushed to the site immediately and shifted the injured people to the hospital, while it was found that the car driver had died on the spot.
