The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has launched inspection campaigns to crackdown on beauty parlours and salons, to verify their compliance with the hygiene and sanitation conditions in place.
The move comes as part of the municipality's strategy to protect visitors from harmful impacts of substances used, particularly in cosmeticss and other medical products, besides ensuring the physical fitness of staff.
The municipal teams have conducted dozens of inspection campaigns covering more than 2,875 beauty parlours and hair salons, issued more than 254 violations, seized more than 5,542 packets of cosmetics and herbal mixtures that fall short of the health specifications and standards and pose danger to users.
