Emirates Global Aluminium has collected hundreds of blankets and sets of warm clothes to help Syrian Refugees.
The company set up 24 collection points across their business sites in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah for employees to donate. A total of 619 blankets and 126 boxes of warm clothes were collected and handed over to the Emirates Red Crescent.
The initiative follows an earlier Dh1 million corporate donation for the Syrian refugees in January last year, as well as a food, clothing and blanket collection programme conducted in 2014 that netted five tonnes of supplies for Syrians displaced by the ongoing war in their country.
