The stage show will be enacted by artistes from Lahore and Karachi including Babu Baral, Liaqat Soldier, Shezad Raza, Abid Kashmiri, Ashraf Khan, M. Zubair, Aasia, Naila Rehman, Salim Raza, Shiba Butt, Sidra Noor and film star Deedar.
Addressing a Press meeting at Imperial Suites Hotel yesterday, M. Zubair, the director of the show, who was on his way to Europe with his cast, said that the aim of bringing the show to Dubai was to provide quality family entertainment to the residents of the UAE.
The producers of the show are Arshad Khattak, Sunny Khan and S. Abid Hussain. The show is being organised in Dubai by Sunny Art Productions and will be managed by Ghaos Qadry, Khalil Sheikh and Adil Ikram. M. Zubair also thanked Swiss Watches, the co-sponsors of the show, for the cooperation.
M. Zubair said that for the past eight years, he and his team had been promoting Pakistani culture all over the world. "This time we felt that it was necessary to visit the Middle East as many people from the Pakistani community reside here," he added.
Giving details about the show, Mr Zubair said that the storyline revolves around Pakistani expatriates who leave their country to earn money. He further said that the show also highlighted the problems faced by them.
Abid Kashmiri, who is famous for his original comic retorts, said that Chana Sachi Muchi was a clean, family theatre show that would provide slap-stick comedy and entertainment. Sunny Art Productions plans, which plans to organise theatre shows in Dubai every two months, also announced that a musical show will be held at Al Nasr Leisureland on August 29 to mark Pakistan's Independence Day. The musical programme will be presented by famous Pakistani music artistes including Humaira Arshad, Raheem Khan, Deedar and Omar Sharif.
