Photos of the royal wedding invitation of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and his brothers, have been posted on social media - and it was a rather delicious invite.

The three sons of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, were married earlier last week in a private ceremony.
Sheikh Hamdan, 36, was married to Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, while Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, 35, married Sheikha Maryam bint Butti Al Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, 32, married Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum.

Pictures of the royal invitation card were posted on Instagram by Mama Noora, the royal family's governess for decades.
The invite included a big gold-coloured utensil filled with a huge portion of a local dessert - apparently Omani Halwa - placed in a big embroidered box. The ceremony details are embroidered in Arabic inside the box in gold.
The invitation mentioned the official marriage contract ceremony, called Al Akhd, of the three brothers.
Omani Halwa is a soft, sweet gelatinous mixture that is flavored with saffron, cardamom, ghee, nuts and rose water - usually served with coffee.
The dessert is particularly popular in UAE, among both Emiratis and expats.

The sweet invitation is perfect for the month of the Ramadan as families could enjoy it in Suhoor or Iftar.
