Photos: Dubai man proposes to girl at fire station

Dubai - The pictures of the event were shared by the couple and the fire station on the Instagram.

A man in Dubai chose a unique way of proposing to a girl for marriage. Instead of making lavish arrangements on a beach, hotel or any resort, the boy, Shelton, proposed to the girl inside a fire station.
He was dressed in a firefighter uniform "to assure his fiancée of his readiness to overcome any challenges they might face in life's journey".
The event was held at Emirates Martyrs Fire Station and was arranged with the help of firefighters.
The pictures of the event were shared by the couple and the fire station on the Instagram.
"In a beautiful first-if-its-kind gesture, Emirates Martyrs fire station hosted engagement party of a couple who decided to celebrate their event in the fire station. The man donned the firefighter uniform to assure his fiancée of his readiness to overcome any challenges they might face in life's journey. This act comes within fire stations community initiatives," the Instagram post reads.

For some reason, she's always been crazy about firetrucks. That's what lead me to have the proposal at the Al Manara Emirates Martyrs Fire Station @dcd997.?? Thanks to an amazing bunch of friends & family she had no idea what was happening until the boards popped the question. And she said YES!!! We(me and 5 friends) loved being able to dress up in actual fire suits. The grand entrance on the fire engine, sirens blaring was the icing on the cake. We did take another ride on the fire engines after she said yes and funnily enough, thats seems to be her favourite part of the day. But she did say YES!!
