Let's face it - everybody loves having pets. We as humans appreciate having a furry partner to put a smile across our faces and inspire us to go on walks. But not all pets are created equal, as residents of Abu Dhabi were given the shock of their lives when a lion cub went loose on the streets.
Photos of the lion cub which made its rounds on social media have residents of Khalifa City A on the lookout for the loose cub with some users advising to give Abu Dhabi Wildlife Centre a call.

There have been speculations that the lion is being kept as a pet but has escaped from the villa of its owner. As per UAE law, keeping exotic and dangerous animals are not allowed and doing so will merit a hefty fine.
