A Dubai Police delegation on Thursday visited six workers who are receiving treatment after a major accident involving a minibus and a truck earlier this week.

Eight expat workers had died in the horrific crash, while injuring many, when a minibus crashed into a truck on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road on Monday.

In a series of tweets on Thursday, the Dubai Police shared photos of their visit to the hospital to check on the injured workers. The workers are currently receiving treatment in Dubai's Rashid Hospital.

The delegation was headed by Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Fahad Al Zarouni, a police official at the diplomatic affairs section at the General Department of Criminal Investigation. Delegations from the Consulate General of India and Bangladesh were also present.
