13 children, including a three-month-old baby, and six women were among the dead

The new year has begun on a high note with His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, as a leader and a father.
It was a special weekend for Shaikh Mohammed and wife, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, as they celebrated their son Zayed's birthday on Saturday (January 7).
The Ruler's youngest child turned five this year.
Born in 2012, ginger-haired Zayed is Shaikh Mohammed's second child with Princess Haya after elder daughter Shaikha Al Jalila. Coincidentally Al Jalila shares her birthday with UAE's National Day - December 2.
The young prince's mother took to Instagram - on Saturday night - to post a picture collage of the celebrations. In the collage, an excited Zayed can be seen playing with his parents and a few friends, including Shaikh Hamdan's (Dubai Crown Prince) best friend' Maj!
It seems that the birthday boy is fond of a particular SUV model, as his birthday cake was in the shape of - what looks like - a Nissan Patrol:
Princess Haya joined Instagram earlier in 2016 and usually shares candid personal moments from her time with the family or official commitments, including when Zayed began school life last year, the Dubai Ruler visiting his daughter's school to spend a day with her and even when she and Al Jalila went for Umrah.
