Hailstorm and heavy rain lashed parts of UAE since in the past two days.
Photos of 'snow' covered mountains in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah went viral on social media on Thursday, with National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) warning that the winter weather will last until at least the weekend.

The mountains were blanketed in 'snow' after a hailstorm hit the Northern Emirates over the past few days.
On Wednesday, hail, thunder, and heavy rain thrashed parts of the UAE on Wednesday, particularly Sharjah, according to NCMS.  Rain was reported in various parts of Sharjah and Dubai, including Deira and Mirdiff.
In Dubai, heavy rain and hail forced play to be suspended at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Authorities had warned motorists to proceed with caution and drive with headlights or fog lights to ensure safety on the roads. 
The rains in Fujairah have caused severe flooding in certain areas of the Emirate.
