Just when students went back to their schools after the New Year hysteria and winter holidays, the UAE ministry of Education announced the vacation dates for 2017.
The students will be getting a seven-week break during summer, a three-week break during winter and a two-and-a-half week break for spring.

Indian schools have a different schedule - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) - follow an academic year from April to March. Pakistani and Japanese schools in the UAE also follow this schedule.

***Private Schools in Dubai following Asian curriculum are allowed to close any day between Mar 15th and 30th, subject to the school fulfilling the stipulated number of instructional and academic days.
