Written and produced exclusively for Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2015, Bugs Bunny in Wun Wabbit Wun features two of the most popular Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.
The three 20-minute shows will begin today at Deira City Centre at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm daily and will run until August 17 to be followed by a Meet-and-Greet session.
The show will be set against the backdrop of a colourful 'wabbit' season with Elmer Fudd devising new ways to hunt down Bugs Bunny. The classic chase that continues to be popular among many generations of cartoon lovers, has been written and choreographed as a completely original character sequence.
The highly technically-designed set will also allow the characters to move under the stage and pop out through numerous rabbit holes - to bring to life the lively 'wabbit' season.
Also on the agenda for Deira City Centre's young shoppers are a number of Bugs Bunny-themed workshops. Kids can look forward to a colourful Bugs Bunny Zone, a 'chill-out' space to watch Bugs Bunny classics, themed templates to colour, and activities such as designing Bugs Bunny's ears and carrot mobile making, amongst others.
Toys come to life
It is said that there is a unique story behind every toy's life. This story will come to life at the 'Toys Factory', at Modhesh World in Dubai International Convention Centre today as part of DSS.
The Toys Factory show with music and dance will feature a group of 23 performers giving children the opportunity to look at toys in a new light.
The narrative start when various characters take to the stage for a dance and music performance and begin building a series of toys until they become friends. The show also highlights the significance of a toy in every child's life.
Modhesh World opens at 9am until midnight from Saturday to Wednesday and from 9am to 1am on Thursdays and Fridays. Entrance fee is Dh20 for kids and adults and free for those under 3 years of age.
