Prince Andrew interacted with students and toured the school’s premises and observed the state-of-art facilities at the school. He also entered several classrooms and chatted with students.
Prince Andrew was accompanied during the visit by the British Ambassador to the UAE, Edward Oakden and school principal Stuart Dennis and other dignitaries.
While addressing students, Prince Andrew engaged students with questions and listened to their answers.
He urged students to accept the changes of time and prepare themselves for it.
Elaborating on the strength of learning, he termed it as a ‘team work’ which has its essential pillars.
Prince Andrew bringing forward the example of the ‘two-legged and three-legged stool’ explained the advantages of a collective effort.
The British International School Abu Dhabi situated behind the Abu Dhabi University campus in Khalifa City in the Capital, opened admission back in September and currently, hosts more than 260 students from the age of three to 13.
The facilities provide children well-equipped classrooms and learning centres, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, athletics track and a soccer pitch as well as the newly established music technology centre.
The school programme at BISAD is based on the English National Curriculum and currently accommodates students between the ages of three and fourteen.
