Prominent Indian social worker dies in Dubai hospital

Veteran Indian social worker, Nandi Naser, aged 56, who was known for his voluntary service to expatriates has died at a hospital in Dubai early this morning.
Nandi suffered a heart attack following complaints of chest pains Saturday night. He was admitted to Dubai Hospital. Nandi is originally from Koyilandi in Kerala, India.
The news come as a huge shock to Indian social workers in the UAE. Social worker Naseer Vadanapally said, "I cannot believe he is no more. He worked very closely with Dubai Police and immigration authorities. He has also helped many people across the UAE."
He launched a community welfare group Change a Life, Save a Life where Nandi and his associates have helped hundreds of expatriates, especially with repatriation of mortal remains. Nandi also saved several families who were in severe financial distress.
His embalming service will be held at the Medical Fitness Centre in Muhaisnah at 4pm
