A state-of-the-art radar system that will have the technology to detect stolen vehicles and notify the police control room will be launched in Dubai in March next year.
The final design of the 'Rasad' radar has been approved by Major-General Khamis Matar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police. The radar, which is equipped with 4G technology, will store the list of number plates and other details of stolen or wanted cars on its system. On detecting a wanted car, the radar will issue a warning signal to the police control room. The Rasad radar will be installed in 70 locations across Dubai. - amira@khaleejtimes.com
