The Ministry of Education has issued a circular regarding school timings during the holy month of Ramadan - cancelling the morning assembly and all sports classes.
According to the circular kindergarten school will start at 8 am and end at 12 pm.

The administrative and teaching staff at kindergartens on the other hand will work from 8 am to 12:30 pm, Al Bayan reported.
During Ramadan, Cycle 1 classes (grades 1 to 5) will start the day at 8 am and end at 12:15 pm, while schools that start the day at 9 am will finish at 1:15 pm. Both schools will have six classes spanning across four hours - along with a 15-minute-long break.

The day for Cycle 2 (grades 6-9) and Cycle 3 classes (grades 10-12) will be five hours long; comprising seven classes during the day including activity classes.
Additionally, the schools should choose between two schedules, either from 8 am to 1 pm or from 9 am to 2 pm.
The administrative and teaching staff working hours would be adjusted accordingly.

Al Bayan added that the Knowledge and Human Development Authority of Dubai also announced that private schools would start the day between 8 or 8:30 am and end between 1 or 1:30 pm, stressing that the school day should not exceed five hours.
Regarding class timings, the ministry circular announced that classes will be 40 minutes long at all stages of learning, there will be no morning assembly and student will get a 15-minute-long break in between.
The ministry has also held a meeting with Emirates Transport to plan the movement of schools buses during Ramadan, emphasising that schools must not change the timings announced by the ministry unless if required in special cases, after notifying the authorities.
