The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) police officers will now wear a new badge which has been adopted by the department.
Major-General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, general commander of the RAK Police, said the new badge reflects the government's support to the law enforcement bodies "to provide the best services to the public and boost safety, security, and stability all over the emirate".
The new police badge is affirmation of the judicial power granted to Ras Al Khaimah policemen, he underlined.
"The badge will make it easy to identify the police officers in different situations, including road accident and crime sites."
The badge will also help strengthen communication with all segments of the society in line with the vision and goals of the Ministry of Interior, Al Nuaimi pointed out.
"The police badges are to be used complying with certain guidelines that clarify their time and place of use."
