His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday emphasized the importance of reading and spreading of knowledge in laying the foundation to a civilizational development and promote nations and peoples.
Shaikh Mohammad stressed the role of media with its numerous faces and means to inculcate the habit of reading and turn it into a society culture, especially in children's souls.
Shaikh Mohammad made such remarks during the weekly meeting with ministers, directors of local departments and dignitaries. The meeting was held at the Zabeel palace in Dubai.
Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohamad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the FNC, and other senior officials in Dubai have been present at the meeting.
Speaking to media persons, who attended the meeting, Shaikh Mohmmad said: "Make your institutions as a stand to disseminate knowledge and encourage reading. Help the young people to get knowledge, which is the prop of nations and its prime support in reinforcing the basics of their renaissance."
