Robbers threaten Dubai couple at knifepoint, steal Dh855,000

Police arrested three Asian persons and their driver, recovered Dh700,000.

The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced two Asian men to seven years imprisonment for stealing Dh855,000 from a couple at their home. 
The Public Prosecution stated that the duo had trapped the couple, their cook, and a cleaning person, in their home.
They threatened to kill them whilst brandishing a knife if they did not hand over the money, reported 24.  
The duo gave the stolen cash to three Asian persons to transfer the money to their home country. The police were able to arrest the three Asian persons and their driver, and recovered Dh700,000 from the total stolen amount. 
The verdict was delivered in the presence of one defendant, a driver, who was apprehended by the police. The other suspect is still on the run.
A third Asian man who was readying to transfer the money was sentenced to two years in jail as an accomplice to the crime.
