The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the timings of its different services during Eid Al Fitr holiday covering customer service centers, car parks, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit modes, driving institutes, and vehicles testing & registration centers.
Ms. Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, RTA's Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: "Customer Service Centers will be off duty during Eid Al Fitr holiday from Thursday 29 Ramadan/ July 16 and will resume duty on 4 Shawaal (fourth day of Eid). All paid parking zones in Dubai Emirate will be free of charge except for the parking lots of the fish market and the multi-level parking terminal starting from Thursday, 29 Ramadan, and fees will be activated on the fourth day of the Arabic month Shawaal."
Metro service
July 17th, stations on the Red & Green Lines will open from 10 am up to 2 am (of the following day).
July 18th, stations will open from 5.50 am to 2 am (of the following day).
July 19th stations on the Red Line will open from 5.30 am to 12 midnight, and on the Green Line stations will open from 5.50 am to 12 midnight. The service frequency will range from 3 to 8 minutes depending on the peak hours.
Dubai Tram
July 17th, the Dubai Tram will start at 9 am and the service will continue till 1.30 am (of the following day).
July 18th and 19th the tram service will start 6.30 am and continue through 1.30 am (of the following day).
Bus service
July 18th and 19th
Main Bus Stations such as the Gold Souk and Ghubaiba, the service will start at 5.00 am and end at 12 (midnight).
Subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais, Satwa, Quoz Industrial and Jebel Ali, the operation time will be from 6 am to 10.10 pm at Jebel Ali Station, and from 5.00 am to 11.00 pm at other stations, except Route C01; which will be operating around-the-clock.
As for the metro feeder service at stations such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirate, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, and Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall, the service time will be from 5.15 am to 1.10 am (after midnight).
Commercial transport and inter-city bus services
Main stations, such as Ghubaiba, will operate 24-hours a day, and subsidiary stations, such as the Union Square, and Sabkha will start at 5.30 am and continue to 12 midnight.
Deira City Center, and Karama Stations, the service will start at 6.10 am and end at 10 pm.
Sharjah (Jubail) will operate 24-hours a day
Abu Dhabi Station will operate from 4.15 am to 12.30 (past midnight)
Fujairah station will be open from 5.50 am until 9 pm
Ajman station will be open from 5.25 am to 10 pm
Hatta station will operate from 5.30 to 9.30 pm
Water transit
Water Bus at the Dubai Creek station will operate from 7 am to 10 pm, and at the Marina station it will operate from 10 am to 12 midnight.
July 17th, the Water Bus service at the Creek Station will start from 10 am and continue to 12 midnight, and at the Marina station it will operate from 12 at noon to 12 midnight.
Water Taxi service timing will be from 10 am to 10 pm, and the electric abra at the Dubai Mall - Burj Khalifa station will start at 5.45 am and continue till 11.30 pm. At Mamzar, it will operate from 4 pm and continue to 12 midnight, and at the Atlantis the service will be from 1 pm to 9 pm.
Dubai Ferry will start shuttling between Marina Mall station, Al Ghubaiba station and the Marina Station during the Eid days at 11 am and at 01.00 at noon. The first trip will start from Al Ghubaiba Station heading towards Marina Station. On Thursday and Friday, the Ferry will start at 2.30 pm from Al Ghubaiba Sation to Al Mamzar Station, and there will be a tourist one-hour voyage during Eid days at 3 pm and 5 pm. During Eid days, the ferry at the Marina station will start services at 11 am and 6.30 pm from the Marina to Al Ghubaiba. There will be a tourist one-hour voyage off the Marina Station passing through Dubai tourist landmarks such as the Atlantis, and The Palm before heading back to the Marina Mall from 3 pm and 5 pm. At Al Mamzar Station, the Dubai Ferry will operate on Thursday and Friday at 4.30 pm offering a tourist voyage for one hour in Mamzar Lake, and at 6 pm there will be a voyage from Mamzar Station to Al Ghubaiba Station.
"As for vehicle testing and registration services, all centers of partners and service providers will be closed during Eid Al Fitr holidays," said Moaza.
