Scholars to speak at Al Qasba, Khorfakkan
SHARJAH - Eighteen renowned local and Arab scholars and Muslim preachers will deliver daily religious lectures in Al Qasba and Khorfakkan after the Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event, which will host a group of renowned Muslim scholars during Ramadan, signals the start of Ramadan activities in Al Qasba in Sharjah, as part of its Ramadaniat Al Qasba activities and the completion of preparations for the opening of the sixth edition of (Al Eiman Oasis) activities.
The initiative is in line with the UAE’s preparations for the holy month of Ramadan. It will also include a range of promotions and discounts at Al Qasba restaurants, cafés and entertainment facilities. Al Qasba has published and distributed through various locations and mosques in Sharjah, a schedule for the lectures with the dates, titles and the names of the presenting scholars.
Speakers include Dr Prof Saleh Al Sadlan, who will deliver a lecture entitled Ramadan: The Month of Blessings; Abdul Aziz Al Raes, whose lecture will be entitled Imam Shafaee; Dr Prof Sulaiman Al Rahili, who will be speaking on Muslim in Health and Illness; Dr Prof Abdul Razaq Al Bader, who will deliver a lecture entitled Meanings of Surat Al Kawthar; and Shaikh Mohammed bin Ghaiyth Al Ghaiyth, who will speak on Douaa Al Kounout.
Speaking at a press conference, Ahmed Al Qaseer, Chief Operating Officer of the Al Qasba Development Authority, said, “Al Qasba Development Authority has completed all the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, and all facilities are ready to host visitors. A package of diverse activities and offers suitable to a religious atmosphere has been created to delight visitors and offer them a unique Ramadan experience. First among these is the sixth edition of Al Eiman Oasis. A range of promotions and discounts will also be available to visitors at Al Qasba’s restaurants, cafés and facilities. Guests will be able indulge in traditional and western dishes prepared especially for this month.”
