Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) launched estimated fees calculating service for renewing issuance of new licenses.
 The e­-services have been launched as part of its efforts to create and support the rapid shifting toward the smart government by adopting the latest technologies that help in improving the services for investors in Sharjah.
The department aims to offers services through smartphones to provide highly efficient services in multiple languages. It intends to make services available all the time and at all the places, with access to information immediately in order to make it easier for investors to get all the data that they need and to save their efforts and time .    
Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, said that the department works to harness all the human, material, and technical capabilities to deliver new and improved e-services that are aimed to simplify procedures on customers. "Due to the wise directives of His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi,  member of Supreme Council, we work to apply the concept of smart government through the cooperation and coordination with various partners and authorities in Sharjah."
Fahad Al Khamiri, Director of Registration and Licensing Department, said that SEDD does all that is needed to facilitate procedures on investors so forth to save their efforts and time by improving its electronic and smart services.
He added that the act of launching estimated fees calculating  service to issue a new license is considered one of the fixed steps that SEDD adopts within its initiative to enable customers as well as investors from carrying out their transactions without coming to the department's headquarter or branches by using its website and applications.
Al Khamiri pointed out that SEDD pays great attention to use all the available means to communicate with its customers and to use Arabic language properly in all the economic acts. Also, to emphasis on its active role towards its customers, SEDD provided number of innovative channels through which they can report any misspelling or linguistic error that they may observe in any signboards or advertisements by calling 80080000, using the SEDD's application, or by sending a message through what's up app on the number 0501067971.
Ali Al Naqbi, Director of IT Department said that SEDD's biggest achievements is in its investment of the human caders and the improvement of its e-services whereby such services reached 72 ones on the website and 43 applications through smartphones. It is worth mentioning that SEDD activated the linking with more than 24 entities in order to ease things and procedures on investors.
Al Naqbi called all the investors to benefit from the services that SEDD offers through its website, www.sedd.ae, and applications to complete their transactions. He added that all the procedures can be carried out through such means without the need to visit the department. After that, he emphasized that SEDD will always launch more services due to its concerns about the electronic shifting in order to facilitate things on customers, save their efforts and time, and provide the best services and more opportunities for dealers in order to complete their transactions.
