Seven suspects stood trial on charges of murder and assault at the Sharjah Court of First Instance on Tuesday.
The seven Pakistani defendants were involved in a brawl, which ended in the death of a Bangladeshi man, on May last year at Al Musalla area in Sharjah.
Four sustained serious to moderate injuries in the fight in which the suspects had used sticks, iron tools and knives, according to Sharjah Police.

A representative of Pakistan Embassy said that the family of the victim has asked for Dh200,000 blood money and they were to get in touch with the family of the victim for negotiations.
She said that they needed to get in touch with family of the seventh suspect as the others had no role in the death of Bangladeshi victim
Sharjah Police investigation has found that financial dispute was the cause of the fight between the two nationalities.
Advocate Saeed Al Musbah, who was assigned by the court for the six suspects, pleaded no guilty for them before the presiding judge Dr Yaqoub Al Hamadi.
The lawyer told the court that his were innocent as they had been at the hospital when the crime took place. He also said that the prime suspect had already confessed to the crime.
He requested the court to appoint another lawyer for the seven suspect and moved a bail plea for the release of his clients.
The presiding judge said that the court will contact the Ministry of Justice to appoint a lawyer for the seventh suspect.
However, the judged replied that the six are still accused until the issuance of the judgement and adjourned the case to appoint a lawyer for the prime suspect.
How it happened
The incident happened last year on May 11.
According to police records, the suspects E.A. ; M. Z, ; I. R. ; A.Kh, ; K.Kh.; A.A.; A.Kh and H.Kh had came from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah industrial area to fight with the Bangladesh man.
To their surprise, when they arrived at Al Musalla, they found around 30-40 Bangladeshis. They had no other option but to flee when the Bangladeshis attacked them.
They sustained injuries and got admitted at Al Kuwaiti hospital. The court was told that there were hospital reports to prove that.
However, the seventh suspect who so upset with the incident headed to the victim's accommodation and stabbed him, who succumbed to injuries later.
The Sharjah Police said that victim died while they were transporting him to Al Qassimi hospital and he was stabbed in his back.
The other injured were shifted to the Al Qassimi and Al Kuwaiti hospitals. The medical reports showed that one of them was seriously injured and admitted at ICU.
Sharjah Police arrested all the seven defendants suspects, as all of them were involved in the fight.
Meanwhile, the court has referred an eighth suspect, who was brought to the court, back to public prosecution.
