Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) bagged the first position at the initiative "The challenge of 96 hours" which supports needy families by renovating their houses.
The initiative was launched by the department of real estate which invited government department to take part in it as part of it social responsibility programme aimed at supporting the poor. Sharjah Social welfare bagged the second position and Civil Aviation bagged the third the position.
Sewa, as part of its social responsibility, renovated the houses of needy families in Shahba area of Sharjah and handed them over to the organizing committee as part of the community service.
Dr Rashid Al Leem, chairman of Sewa , lauded the unlimited support provided by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
