The Sharjah Police have launched a new mobile operations room to strengthen its efficiency in emergency response on Wednesday.
Lieutenant-Colonel Jassim bin Hadh, director of central operations department, said the mobile operations room is equipped with latest technologies to handle all unified police operation systems being introduced by the Ministry of Interior. He added that the vehicle will operate as a mobile control centre and is equipped with an antenna unit.
"This will enable faster communication within the country and adjacent areas. The mobile centre will not be affected by the difficulty of surrounding circumstances, thanks to the evolution of Thuraya satellite network and the efficiency of its solution."
He stressed that the Sharjah Police are keen to improve its service and create qualitative changes through the use of modern technologies to reach the goal of making Sharjah a safe city, and to keep abreast of future challenges.
