Sharjah Police have responded to photos showing speed radars destroyed by gunshots that have gone viral on social media.
The police took to Twitter to clarify that the said images were from November 2012 and that the perpetrators had been brought to justice.
The police advised residents against circulating such images due to their "negative impact" on the general security.
In November 2012, 11 speed radars were shot at and destroyed by miscreants on three roads in Sharjah: Al Dhaid, Al Madam and Mleiha.
