Sheikha Lubna wins Jewels of the Muslim World Award 2016

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, stated that the success of the Emirati people in all areas and sectors is the true result of the UAE's great attention to its citizens, under the leadership of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
She made her statement while receiving the Jewels of the Muslim World Award for 2016, presented by the International Business Centre of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation in Malaysia. The award was presented by Dr Laila Rani binti Dato Raja Mohamad, Vice President of the Investment and Business Zone in the Islamic World and Editor-in-Chief of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation Magazine, accompanied by Raja Azlan Shah bin Dato Raja Mohammed, Director of Public Relations for the Magazine.
During the occasion, Sheikha Lubna spoke of her appreciation and gratitude towards the wise leadership, for empowering UAE women.
She also thanked Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the UAE, Chairperson of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for supporting women and building their capacities to serve the community.
The Jewels of the Muslim World Award highlights the contribution of individuals and their effective role in the economic development of the Muslim world, during an annual ceremony to honour its winners, who are considered to be role models who have made significant contributions in each of their fields.
