Dubai - The (GDRFA) is working on a future project that will allow passengers to finish immigration check within 15 seconds by walking through a 'smart tunnel'.

Travelling through the Dubai International Airport will soon become a scene out of a Hollywood sci-fi movie as DXB plans to install the new 'smart tunnel' system.
The (GDRFA) is working on a future project that will allow passengers to finish immigration check within 15 seconds by walking through a 'smart tunnel' without the need of presenting their passport.
The Dubai Media Office has announced in a tweet that the face-scanning smart tunnel that was planned to be installed at the Dubai International Airport will be there at Terminal 3 by the end of the summer of 2018.
The smart tunnel system uses facial and Iris recognition technology. All the passenger has to do is to stand in front of the tunnel then walk through it for facial recognition and body scanning and exit the smart tunnel in a few seconds without the need for passport control or immigration check at the terminal.
