The weekend brought in the most unexpected delight with rains on Saturday night inundating parts of northern Emirates. Some witnessed the showery drama while the others were mesmerized with the images and videos of rains, billowing clouds and lightening that were quickly circulated on the internet.
The UAE horizon was painted in a variety of hues and made for some stunning captures as the rain clouds floated to Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.

One such Instagram video posted by @binmejren_sultan shows clouds flowing down like a river on to the desert area. The UAE's @Storm_Center also shared some breathtaking videos and images of the storm showing a serene white layer of snow over the desert while rains wait to lash the area.
Social media was buzzing with picturesque images of the storm and rainfall in many areas specifically in the Ras Al Khaimah and the northern emirates.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted such weather conditions to continue across the UAE on Sunday with the weather getting colder and rainfall is expected in some areas. NCM added that the windy weather will result in dust clouds and the waters in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be rough.
