Taleban deny responsibility for Kandahar attack

In a statement, the Taleban denied responsibility for the attack on the Kandahar guesthouse, and instead blamed an "internal local rivalry" for the incident. Just hours before, twin Taleban blasts in Kabul tore through a parliament annex, and, on Tuesday, a Taliban suicide bomber killed 11 people in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province.
