The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanor Court has exonerated a female teacher from the charges of physically assaulting a boy using a stick.
As per court records, the case unfolded when the family of the nine-year-old boy lodged a complaint against the teacher.
The family accused the teacher of beating their son in front of his classmates at school, and had submitted medical reports that proved he suffered several bruises all over his body.
The family claimed that their son was shocked and humiliated after being beaten in front of his friends and classmates, and had to be admitted to a hospital.
The RAK Police launched an investigation and summoned the teacher who denied the charges and described them as fabricated and baseless.
The teacher denied the charges during the RAK public prosecution interrogation and at the court.
The court, having heard the testimonies of all witnesses and the pleadings of the lawyers of both sides, ordered release of the teacher for lack of sufficient evidence.
