These UAE jobs will not exist in the next few years

Abu Dhabi - Sheikh Abdullah said that 75 per cent of the jobs that exist today, will not be available in the future for those who are born this year.

"In this rapidly changing world, you must first invest in yourself," Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, told a crowd of 3,000 Emirati students who attended the 'Mohammed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations' on Tuesday in the UAE Capital.
The attendees who came together under one roof during the two-day event, included students, business leaders, local and international speakers, as well as UAE ministers and Royals.
Prior to touring the enormous majlis, which was jam-packed with revolutionary innovations created by some of UAE's youngest and brightest talents, as well as interacting with the youngsters, Sheikh Abdullah made an impressive, motivating, yet light-hearted speech, where he advised students to ask themselves a crucial question: 'How can we participate in forming the future?'
Sheikh Abdullah said that 75 per cent of the jobs that exist today, will not be available in the future for those who are born this year.
He highlighted on the importance of focusing on developing one's own set of skills, in order of becoming future entrepreneurs, and to "stop thinking of securing a job in a governmental entity." 
"The challenge is to develop skills and gain as much knowledge as you possibly could, so you can catch up with all the changes that are happening and truly invest in your time, in order to elevate your capabilities, which will lead you to success."
Sheikh Abdullah said that through globalisation, those willing to become entrepreneurs will learn to compete with each other, and noted that the nation will continue to support its brightest talents.
"There is no country that supports start-up projects like the UAE, and the UAE is known for being a welcoming nation."
"When I was a university student, I never thought that I will specialise in renewable energy, because I thought: 'What would I do with this degree when I graduate?' But today, such sectors have some of the highest opportunities."
Sheikh Abdullah noted that the competition is certainly high, but opportunities in the UAE are even higher for rising entrepreneurs and champions of innovation.
"Those who made the greatest changes in the world are not necessarily the ones who had the best education, but the ones who were the most serious in life."
"Your country is one of the easiest countries to start a company with your own will."
