The Dubai Police have established their first all-women team that specialises in security checks and neutralising explosives. The team is attached to the police's Explosives Security Department at the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency. Brigadier Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, acting director of the general department, said the members of the team were selected after a screening process that lasted eight months. They were trained from February to September. Sgt. Nouf Mohamed Ibrahim said the team has helped in implementing the National Sterilisation Programme, when residents had to #StayHome except for emergencies. She said the department trained her to improve her professional skills. First Corporal Kholoud Abdullah Al Marri said she always wanted a job that would challenge her. Other members of the team are First Corporals Aisha Muhammad Abdullah, Maitha Ali Muhammad and Abeer Muhammad Ibrahim. reporters@khaleejtimes.com
