Inspirational speaker Sister Shivani led over 4,000 attendees to a special evening on Saturday at the Dubai World Trade Centre where she delivered a powerful message on acceptance and happiness to achieve harmony.
The three-hour Dubai event titled 'Awakening Harmony and Happiness' saw people from different walks of life - CEOs, housewives, professionals and students - embark on a journey of self-reflection.
Sister Shivani led the audience into inquiring their view of right and wrong within relationships and advised to start changing one's vocabulary from looking at right and wrong to accepting that we are different; incorporating a guided meditation of self affirmation in between. "We are just changing one word - from 'you are wrong' to 'you are different'. We both are right but different," she said.
Talking about how negativity spoils relationships, she said: "When you label other people as wrong, you are radiating rejection and disrespect to them. And it doesn't end only with that because when you radiate rejection and disrespect to others, they in turn will create the same vibrations from their end. And this is where rejection, disrespect and intolerance starts coming into relationships."
The Dubai event took off with calming activities, including soft music, interactive digital display of positive thoughts, and a video showing simple ways to meditate for the audience to spend their time with, as many reached the venue as early as 4pm. They were handed with 'virtue treasure boxes' filled with dates.
Organised by Roots Events, under the initiative of Raja Yoga Centre and supported by the Consulate General of India, the event aimed at creating self-awareness in people so that they can experience new levels of harmony and happiness. Prior to Sister Shivani's talk, several special guests including Vipul, Consul-General of India in Dubai; Ret. Lt-Col Mohammed Murad, and Raja Yoga Centre director Sister Jyoti shared their messages for the occasion.
An event held on Friday at the Bright Riders School in Abu Dhabi had attracted around 1,000 people.
