Three men jailed in Abu Dhabi for raping woman

Abu Dhabi - The three accused sexually assaulted her and robbed her of her wallet and mobile phone, she told the court.

The Abu Dhabi court has sentenced three men to 10 years in prison for tricking a woman by seeking help, to rape her and rob her of her valuables. The accused will be deported after finishing their jail term.
According to the prosecution records, the complainant was on her way back home after meeting her friends in the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, when a car stopped beside her.
She saw two men sitting in the front and a woman in the back seat of the car. One of the men requested her to show them the nearby hospital as the 'woman' in the car was in labour pain. When she showed them the direction, they asked her to travel with them to the hospital as the woman would deliver at any moment. They told her that they didn't know the place as they were coming from another emirate.
First she was hesitant to go with them, but after seeing the woman crying of pain, she decided to accompany them, the victim told the court. The man sat in the front seat moved to the back seat to make her sit in the front.
However, once the vehicle was started, the driver deviated from the road. When she asked them where they were heading to, the man in the backseat tied her hands from behind. The victim said she was stunned to see that the woman lying in the backseat was actually a man in woman's clothes.
The three accused sexually assaulted her and robbed her of her wallet and mobile phone, she told the court. The trio left her in that area and fled the scene.
