Three workers faced trial on Sunday in the Court of First Instance on the charge of sexually assaulting a roommate.
The three Pakistanis, aged 19, 21 and 30, are believed to have used force against the victim, a compatriot, to assault him in their shared accommodation in Jebel Ali.
The victim said he woke up at around 11pm to see the three accused in his room in the dark.
"They were drunk. They told me about their intention to have sex with me. As I tried to leave the room they pulled me back and locked the door." The three then assaulted him one after the other while covering his mouth to stop him from screaming. The forensic report showed that all the three accused assaulted the victim.
"We learnt that an assault incident was reported on January 7 at a contracting company accommodation in industrial area in Jebel Ali," a police sergeant said. "The victim looked scared and was shaking. It was apparent he was in pain."
Two of the workers admitted to the officer that they assaulted their roommate. The third claimed he did not have enough time as someone knocked on the door. But he confessed he had done it before to that worker.
