Global Village is a great concoction of traditional and authentic collections from diverse cultures across the world. The region's first and largest multi-cultural festival park, launched season 22 with the theme 'Come Experience the World', from 1 November, 2017 to 7 April, 2018.
The new season presents infrastructure enhancements which includes the Cultural Square and Global Village Boulevard. This season brings the largest entertainment shows on a regional scale and award-winning theatrical cultural performances, concerts every Friday by International music icons, unique dining experience with new restaurants, cafes and street food kiosks, and new pavilions.

Being the world's largest seasonal cultural shopping, open-air theme park, leisure and entertainment fair, Season 22 of Global Village presents cultures of more than 75 countries through 27 new pavilions.

Each pavilion showcases the country or region's signature monuments and landmarks with new and distinctive facades and is home to popular bazaars with authentic products and crafts, heritage corners and cultural performances. More than 12,000 cultural and entertainment will be hosted for Season 22 wherein more than 80 artistes from the UAE, London, India and China will be featured.

1. UAE
UAE's pavilion portrays the country's heritage and the old Emirati architecture. Visitors are welcomed with incense burners at the pavilion while locally made oil perfume shops are widespread. The pavilion also features an all new cultural experience zone where you can indulge yourself and learn about traditional Emirati culture.


2. Iraq

The Iraq pavilion is back from the 20th season to present a wide range of traditional and authentic products. The pavilion has all sorts of hand painted pictures and special silverware. Guests will also be able to see well known Iraqi artisans around the pavilion creating pot, blowing glass, knitting, and embroidery.


3. India

With more than 300 stalls, the Indian pavilion is one of the top places to visit in the 22nd season as it exhibits and sells the most authentic Indian products varying from cotton, silk, chiffon fabrics to traditional leather made sandals, handbags, wallets and accessories. Indian carpet exhibitors are also present to express Indian forms and shapes of hand-woven natural silk and fleece, jewelry, cloths and home accessories.

4. Yemen pavilion

The Yemini Pavilion is designed with the look and feel of the country's old bazaars. The Yemini Pavilion features an all new cultural experience zone along with the smell of Yemen's famous spices that fill the air. Exhibitors with the national costumes and daggers reflect the country's ancient tradition in spice trade and traditional Yemini dresses. Not to miss is the Yemini Dagger, the symbol of manhood, the Yemini dagger is still designed in vintage silver and decorated with precious stones just like in the old days.

5. Africa pavilion

The African pavilion represents more than 15 countries and they include: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal, Ghana, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Angola, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Rwanda, Madagascar, Namibia, South Africa and Nigeria. The pavilion's prevalent offering is hand carved artifacts. The intricate designs are made from the best types of wood in the world such as ebony, mahogany, rosewood as well as soapstone.

6. Pakistan

The Pakistan Pavilion hosts a large number of exhibitors showcasing leather goods, cotton fabrics and various traditional items and home accessories. This year, the pavilion also features an all new cultural experience zone where you can indulge yourself and learn about Pakistani culture and cuisine.


7. Turkey

This year, the pavilion features an all new cultural experience zone where you can indulge yourself and learn about traditional Turkish culture. The Turkey Pavilion resembles a piece of hand-made aesthetic items put together in harmony. Sets of glass and ceramic homeware with fine Anatolian designs come in lively colors that reflect the country's epochs in terms of form, calligraphy and design.


8. China

Prominent for its pearl farming in fresh ponds, the China pavilion showcases pearls in all shapes as it tops the list of high-on-demand women's accessory. The pavilion's stage features daily cultural shows conveying folk and epics of a populous counting almost 1.5 billion people and a history traced to 1 million years ago.


9. Oman

The Omani pavilion is back again to showcase a wide range of traditional Omani items as well as accessories and fashion items. This year, the pavilion features an all new cultural experience zone where you can indulge yourself and learn about Omani culture. 10. Egypt

The Egypt pavilion features more than 100 exhibitors showcasing handcrafts, carved copper, antiquities, cotton clothes and Egyptian traditional dresses (Jalabiyia) and national costumes. A bazaar of home furniture with Egyptian-Ottoman designs and chandeliers are also on display, to share insights of Egyptian products.
