Three new UAE ambassadors to friendly countries have been sworn in before His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi. Those who took the oath of office were UAE Ambassadors-designate Ali Abdullah Al Ahmad to the Federal Republic of Germany, Ahmed Mohammed Yousuf Al Tunaiji to the Republic of Belarus and Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali to the United Mexican States. The new ambassadors pledged their loyalty to the state and its President, respect for its constitution and laws, and to place the country's interests over any other considerations while per-forming their diplomatic tasks with a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.Shaikh Mohammed wished the ambassadors success in their new assignments to serve the interests of the country and its people. He also stressed that the UAE leadership and government is keen on drawing on the capabilities of its loyal sons and daughters, which stems from "our belief in God Almighty, our national bond and sense of community, our belief in coexistence, peace, and equality among all peoples, which has always been a consistent policy of the UAE since its inception". Shaikh Mohammed went on to encourage the new ambassadors to believe in their abilities and to use them to consolidate the relations of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and the countries concerned.Shaikh Mohammed also received credentials of new ambassadors of fraternal and friendly countries including the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Sri Lanka, the Republic of Tunisia, the Republic of Yemen, the Republic of Cyprus, Australia, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Re-public of Azerbaijan and of the Re-public of Fiji.
The new ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their presidents and heads of government to The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak-toum; and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in boosting cooperation and friendship between the UAE and their respective countries.He said that the doors of government and officials are always open for joint consultations and exchange of constructive views and ideas that would open up new avenues of co-operation between the state and people of their respective countries for the welfare and benefit of all.
Both the ceremonies were at-tended by Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Lt.General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development; Shaikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court; Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs; Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.
