Sharjah police arrested two Asians for stealing a safe with Dh500,000 from a French business man.
One of the suspects worked with the business man who owns number of companies in Sharjah and other emirates for the last eight years. The suspect stole the safe using his friend's help.
The French business man who is based in Sharjah lodged a complaint at the police station that a safe with 118 Euros and important documents were stolen from his room.
Based on the information provided by the victim, police formed a team to search for the suspects.
The team suspected an Asian who worked for the victim, as he had information about the personal life of the victim.
The suspect initially denied the allegation, but when confronted with evidence, he confessed the crime and told the police that he came to the victim's house along with his friend and stole the safe. Then they took it to a house in another emirate and divided the cash.
The police said that the funniest thing was that the representative himself and his friend lodged the complaint with the police, to cover their crime, but the CID official suspected them to be the doers.
Sharjah police have urged that the public should not save big amounts of money at homes, and they should deposit them in banks.
