As dust storm and rain lashed parts of UAE on Friday, motorists were advised to drive cautiously as visibility was significantly reduced across the country, according to the local met department.
According to officials at Sharjah Traffic Police, no major accidents - caused by inclement weather - were reported in the emirate.
However, Col. Sami Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said that two cars were gutted after they caught fire in Al Majaz at 10 am today.
Fire fighters arrived at the site of the incident and doused the fire in 10 minutes.
A police investigation is under way to ascertain the cause of the fire.
