The UAE embassy in the United States is warning Emirati nationals to remain cautious following an explosion in New York City that left 29 people injured.
In a series of posts on the it's official Twitter account, the embassy noted that it is "following the events closely."
"We urge UAE citizens in NYC to exercise caution and avoid public places," the embassy added. "Please also ensure compliance with security authorities."
In case of emergencies, UAE nationals are also being urged to call 911 or the UAE Consulate in New York at 646-630-2575.
American authorities are saying that the blast - which took place at a crowded area on West 23rd Street in NYC's popular Chelsea neighborhood - was "intentional", but also noted that there appears to be no link to terrorism.
