The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination has translated the Human Fraternity Document into Arabic, English, and Italian Braille as well as in Arabic sign languages, on the occasion of the International Day of Human Fraternity — which is being celebrated as an annual event on February 4, starting this year.

Officials said that 300 copies of the document were printed in a bid to make it accessible to people of determination on a global scale.

The organisation also gathered people of determination of various nationalities to inaugurate a garden at Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi.

It collaborated with the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity to create awareness among people of determination about the Human Fraternity Document issued by the World Conference on Human Fraternity, which was hosted by the UAE in February 2019.

The Muslim Council of Elders in Abu Dhabi had organised the event two years ago, with the aim to start a dialogue about co-existence and universal brotherhood among people of various nationalities and ways to further enhance it on a global scale.

The organisation’s employees of determination from the Blind Care Department had supported the novel move.

“The document was translated into Arabic, English, and Italian Braille languages. The aim is to spread the message to people from all walks of life, including people of determination,” said officials.

“Copies of the translation were distributed to state libraries. They were translated into recorded texts in sign language in cooperation with the Emirates Association for Deaf and promoted on various social media platforms,” they added.

The organisers donated 100 copies of the Human Fraternity Document — printed in both Arabic and English Braille — to the Al Azhar library in Cairo, Egypt.

The document propagates the universal message of tolerance, cooperation and coexistence for visually-impaired people on a global scale.

The organisation also donated 100 copies of the Human Fraternity Document in Italian Braille language.
