Dubai - The median age of the UAE population stood at 32.8 years.
The UAE population stood at 9,282,410 in 2020, according to the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre.
The latest statistics showed that men constituted 69.7 per cent of the total population — equivalent to 6,468,460 people — while women made up 30.3 per cent of the total population, amounting to 2,813,950.
The average life expectancy at birth stood at 79.9 years, which is reflective of the high quality of healthcare services in the country.
While the life expectancy of women stood at 81.4 years, it was 78 years for men.
The median age of the population in the country stood at 32.8 years. This makes the UAE a fairly young society, where most of the country’s residents are active working individuals who are contributing towards the economic growth of the country.
Figures indicate that the average annual population growth rate in the past decade (2010-2020) stood at 1.2 per cent.
