Rain may continue in some parts of the country today but with less intensity, said the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

An orange alert for convective clouds formation associated with rainfall was issued by the weather department. The met also issued an orange alert for fresh to strong winds that may cause blowing dust and sand. The alerts will last until 8pm on Monday.

While it may rain some areas of the country today, most parts will see clear to partially cloudy skies.

In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution due to rainy weather conditions. Drivers are urged to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

Temperatures may hit a high of 39℃ in Abu Dhabi and 38℃ in Dubai. Humidity can go as low as 15 per cent and as high as 80 per cent in the mountains.

Winds will be light to moderate but they can turn active and reach speeds of 40kmph.. Waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be light.

Moderate to heavy rains along with some hail were seen hitting some parts of the UAE on Monday, September 30. Videos posted by Storm Centre show heavy rains in the eastern coast of the country on Monday.

Safety advisory

NCM advised residents in the eastern and northern parts of the country to stay away from low-lying areas as these locations are prone to flash floods.
