 United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will address next week's World Government Summit in Dubai, it was announced on Tuesday.
The 67-year old Guterres, who succeeded former secretary-general Ban Ki-moon on January 1, previously served as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015, and as prime minister of Portugal between 1995 and 2002.
The fifth edition of the World Government Summit, which this year is being held under the theme Shaping Future Governments, aims to empower governments with the knowledge they need to create a better future for the world's citizens.
